You Don't Need to Create an Account for That
A surprising number of everyday tools — invoice, QR code, unit conversion — get built as SaaS products requiring signup for something that's really just math running in your browser.
Try to generate a single invoice online and a lot of paths lead to the same place: create an account, verify an email, sometimes hit a paywall after invoice #3, all for something that's fundamentally just arithmetic and a print dialog. The SaaS-ification of genuinely simple tools is one of the more quietly annoying patterns on the modern web — turning a five-second task into a signup flow because recurring accounts are worth more to a business than a one-time tool.
Not every tool needs to be a SaaS product. Some things are legitimately just computation that can run entirely in your browser, with nothing to store on a server, nothing worth creating an account over.
What "actually just runs in your browser" means in practice
Real client-side computation: dynamic line items and live totals for an invoice, computed instantly as you type, with a real print-to-PDF flow using the browser's own print dialog — no upload, no account, no server round-trip, no data leaving your machine at all. The same pattern applies to unit conversion (real conversion factors, computed instantly), QR code generation (real, scannable codes generated locally), and password strength checking (real math, not a guess).
The honest tradeoff: nothing here syncs across devices, because nothing is stored anywhere to sync. For a one-off invoice or a quick conversion, that's not a limitation — it's the whole point.
Invoice Generator — dynamic line items, live totals, and a real print-to-PDF flow, no account required.
